The Copper Bal project was funded by the National Lottery awards for all. We had a great time on this project and it made a big difference to our town and participants during the COVID crisis. We ran local mining heritage photography walks. Did some online zoom's during lockdown, Transformed two empty shops on the high street and turned them into exhibition spaces for exhibitions of local heritage, We brought the community and young people together in creative workshops and historical talks. We also commissioned some local artists to do some street art murals about our heritage.
We were literally the talk of the town and received a huge positive response.
